Over the past year, the Foy family has experienced what it means to be truly seen and supported by their amazing Love Box volunteer, Kimberly. What began as a match has grown into something much more, a real relationship that is based on care, consistency, and compassion. Kimberly has shown up for the Foy family consistently month after month, with a heart full of love and intention. She doesn’t just check in, but has taken the time to truly know them and understand what they need. Ms. Janice shares that at this point, Kimberly anticipates their needs, and sends thoughtful items and warm meals without even needing to be asked. When Kimberly brings home cooked meals, Janice often sends her videos of the kids enjoying the meal just to show how much it meant to them. One day, she messaged,“The kids really enjoyed the meal, we thank Kimberly so much. Kimberly made their day. We thank God for her.” And Kimberly doesn’t just bring meals or gifts, she brings herself. She shows up for the moments that matter: birthday parties, adoptions, and special celebrations like baptisms. She’s there, fully present, every time. “Everybody just loves Kimberly,” Janice shared. “When the kids saw her at the baptism, their eyes lit up. She stayed through the entire service and then took us all out to lunch. We are so blessed to have her in our lives” That care flows both ways. Kimberly has welcomed the Foy family into her life, introducing her children to Janice’s and creating space for both families to connect that is real and genuine. The kids have gotten along so well, and what started as a volunteer match has grown into a true relationship. What makes Kimberly’s impact so powerful isn’t just what she gives, but how she gives, with heart, consistency, and so much care. Kimberly shares, “Ms. Janice and the kids are truly so wonderful. I’ve never met a foster parent like her who pours her whole heart into her children. It’s such a joy and honor to support her.” Kimberly has shown what it means to be a constant source of warmth and care. This match represents the very heart of the Love Box program, building intentional, lasting, and life-changing relationships.
