The sisters of Alpha Xi Delta at Georgia Tech once again showed what it means to combine purpose with passion, hosting their annual Step It Up 5K to benefit Atlanta Angels.
This year’s event, held on Georgia Tech’s beautiful Midtown campus, drew students, alumni, and community members together for a morning filled with energy, encouragement, and philanthropy. Participants ran, walked, and cheered their way through the course, all united by a shared mission—to make a difference in the lives of foster families across Atlanta. Thanks to the incredible generosity of participants, sponsors, and donors, the event raised an outstanding $24,000 for Atlanta Angels. These funds will go directly toward expanding the organization’s Love Box and Dare to Dream programs, providing ongoing relational support for local foster families and youth experiencing foster care. “We’re so grateful to the women of Alpha Xi Delta for their continued partnership and belief in our mission,” says Christie, Executive Director. “Their dedication helps ensure that no child in foster care feels alone or forgotten.” For Alpha Xi Delta, philanthropy is about more than fundraising—it’s about community, compassion, and creating lasting impact. Chapter members spent weeks preparing for the event, from coordinating logistics and sponsorships to rallying campus-wide participation. The result was a celebration of sisterhood and service that left a tangible mark on the community. About Alpha Xi DeltaFounded in 1893, Alpha Xi Delta is a national women’s fraternity dedicated to inspiring women to realize their potential. The Georgia Tech chapter continues this legacy through leadership, sisterhood, and a deep commitment to service.
