♡ MATCHED ♡ Youth #12: Located in Canton

Youth #18: female, 13yo
This youth is working hard on curbing her anger. She loves Italian food and tends to think optimistically. She would love to be matched with someone who would be supportive of her figuring out alternative ways to cope with anger.

Youth #21: female, 19yo (waitlist Sep 2022)
This youth graduates this May! She loves to sleep and make jokes. She is interested in going to school for criminal justice or nursing. She’d like a mentor who she can trust and who can commit to meeting more frequently than twice a month.

Youth #31: male, 15yo (waitlisted Nov 2022)
This youth is an aspiring actress! She loves drama and wants to pursue a career in acting in the romance genre. She also loves to listen to all kinds of music and paint. Humor is important to this youth in a mentor; she would like someone who likes to chat and can share her dark humor.

Youth #41: female, 19yo (waitlisted in March 2023)
This youth recently left foster care! She’s fiercely protective of her younger siblings and absolutely loves music - she is self-taught! She would love a mentor who will be understanding of her varying identities, including identifying as LGBT and being Mormon, and who can help her stay on track with her goals and also give her an opportunity to be a kid.

Youth #43: female, 11yo (waitlisted April 2023)
This youth is 11 y/o and LOVES Chinese food, Dr Strange, and her siblings. She is doing well in school and says she loves every color equally. She has a lot of energy and would love a mentor who is bubbly and has energy as well! She also would like someone who is open to trying new things with her.

Youth #44: male, 13yo (waitlisted April 2023)
This youth is 13 y/o and is new to his placement! He comes from a big family and is happy to be with some of his siblings. He’s shy at first but opens up over time. He’s consistently described as kind and respectful. He loves basketball and roller coasters and would love a male mentor who would be down to do both with him!

Youth #45: female, 15yo (waitlisted in March 2023)
This youth is very bubbly, outgoing, and active. She used to be a cheerleader and a volleyball player and would like to become a lifeguard this summer. Her favorite class is agricultural science where she learns how to take care of different kinds of farm animals and gardening. She would like a mentor who is kind and chill and will take her out to do things including gardening!

Youth #46: female, 17yo (waitlisted in March 2023)
This youth is highly independent. She is working hard to graduate on time and go to culinary school to become a chef! One thing she wants to get back to doing regularly is working out. This is an important outlet for her to relieve stress and would love to do it with a mentor! She wants a chill mentor who can take her out and help with her big future goals.

Youth #47: female, 16yo (waitlisted in March 2023)
This youth loves hanging out with her friends, going to the mall, and getting her nails and hair done! She has been in care for a long time and she wants to use her lived-experiences to start her own group home. She has a history of substance abuse and her sobriety is both her hardest struggle as well as her biggest win! She wants a mentor who is above all “very chill”, listens without judgment, and takes her out but does not make her look like she’s in a group home.
