♡ ACTIVE LOVE BOX MATCHES ♡ : 32

Family #1 - Located in Dallas

This family has been waiting for a volunteer for 5 months. They have been fostering for 3 years and is currently fostering a sibling set of 3 girls (6, 5 and 4 y/o). They also have three biological children, two of whom still live with them. Their 18 y/o daughter started college in the Fall and had helped a lot with childcare, so they would love support with babysitting. They requested any and all types of support!

Family #3 - Located in Dallas
This kinship home has been together for several months, and the kinship parent has done an incredible job of integrating her nephew, who is 17 y/o, into the home. She works full-time as a nurse and requested all types of support, with an emphasis on financial help and support with meals. She has been waiting for a volunteer for 6 months.

Family #9: Located in Cartersville
These caregivers have opened their home to so many kiddos, and currently they have 8 children (two 18 y/o's, three 15 y/o's, 7 y/o, and two 5 y/o's). Both caregivers work full-time, and the foster mom is in school as well! Not only do they have 8 kids full-time, but oftentimes they connect with, and care for, children that were previously in their home. They could use lots of support, financially and emotionally. This family would be the perfect match for a group of volunteers!

Family #10: Located in Dallas
This family has five kids in the home (17 y/o, 7 y/o, 5 y/o, 2 y/o, 1 y/o). These caregivers have fostered OVER 150 kids in the past 15 years! They are committed to ensuring that children in care are loved, seen, and get to have normalizing experiences. This family could use some emotional support: someone to share a meal with them, help them to provide experiences, or be an extra set of hands in the home or during community outings.

Family #12: Located in Stockbridge
This family has been fostering for four years and specializes in fostering teenagers. They currently have 6 teenage boys in their home (ages 12-18), one of whom was recently adopted and another who is on track to be adopted as well! The foster parents haven’t been away from the boys since they began fostering, due to it being so difficult to find respite care for teenagers. They’d love caregiver support, including someone to talk to and someone to take the boys out so they can get some alone time. All of the boys love basketball!

Family #14: Located in Canton
This foster family has a sibling set of FIVE, ages 3-10! They have been fostering for a little over a year and would love an opportunity to take some breaks. The two older kiddos (8 and 10 y/o) crave time apart, so a volunteer pair would be ideal for this family.

Family #15: Located in Ball Ground
This foster family has 6 kiddos in the home, ages 4 through 9! They work to offer a home full of love to the sibling sets they take in. They would love some time for date night for the parents. Any and all support would be welcomed!

Family #17: Located in Canton
This foster family is a recent transplant to Georgia from Florida, where the couple worked as CASA volunteers. They have officially been fostering for less than a year  and would love a volunteer to walk alongside them as they navigate this new journey! They are specifically seeking someone to spend time with the kiddos in the home so they can continue exploring the new area. They currently have a sibling set in the home, both of whom are teenage girls!

Family #18: Located in Loganville
This single foster mom has been fostering for ten years total, and would mostly love someone to spend time with the youth in the home (8 y/o girl), who love arts and crafts. After three years together, this caregiver is working towards adoption!

Family #19: Located in Woodstock
This single foster mom has been a licensed therapeutic foster parent (meaning she is available for her kids 24/7) for over 20 years! She currently has 4 placements ranging in ages from 9 y/o to 16 y/o, all of whom are girls. Her biological daughter and niece also live with her and live with cerebral palsy. She would love some time to herself and help with food, and she got very excited at the idea of getting to go out by herself to get her nails done!

Family #20: Located in Conyers
This single foster mom has been fostering for years! She would love any type of support, especially on the weekends so she can get out of the house some. There are 5 youth in the home, ranging in age from 5 to 17.

Family #21: Located in Ellenwood
This single foster mama has been fostering for over 25 years! She’s only been in Georgia for about a year and would love to build up her community. There are six youth in the home, ranging in age from 3 to 14. A giver at her core, this foster mom would thrive with an individual or group willing to integrate themselves into her home. In particular, she would love someone to help out with care packages each month and spend time with the little ones!

Family #22: Located in Decatur
These caregivers started fostering after their own adult children adopted through the foster care system. They are fierce advocates for children in care, and they currently have three kids in their home (9 y/o, 5 y/o, and 2 y/o). They work hard to wrap community around the kiddos but feel there is a culture gap between them. They would love for someone Hispanic that could connect with the children and help them to learn Spanish! The caregivers could also use care packages and emotional support.

Family #24: Located in Ellenwood
This family has four children in the home (1 y/o, 2 y/o, 4 y/o, 8 y/o). They are an elderly couple who adopted their son from care. Their adult daughters help out as they can, but the foster mom could really use some support with household duties like cleaning and laundry. They could also benefit from care packages, babysitting, and occasional transportation!

Family #25: Located in Lithonia
This single foster mom has one girl in care in her home (7 y/o). Adoption is in process, and she plans to keep her home open for future foster placements! They could use care packages and especially babysitting.

Family #29: Located in Forest Park
This single foster mom has been fostering for 12 years and has a special knack for fostering teenage girls. They are newly on our waitlist for both a mentor and and welcome box! She feels that fostering comes easy to her now but could still use some breaks. She’d love someone to come over and hang out with the girls so she can get some time away! There are three kids, one who is 15 and two 17 y/o's.

Family #30: Located in Stockbridge
This single foster dad works in social services during the day and comes home to support his kids at night! He would love some breaks and someone to vent to without judgment. Any support would8 be welcome.

Family #31: Located in Covington
This single foster mom works hard to keep the five kiddos in her home thriving! With ages from 8 months to 15 y/o, this family could use support through babysitting, care packages, and emotional support.

Family #32: Located in Dallas
In one foster home, a single mom has had 13 different children come through her home over the past few years. Currently, she has a medically-fragile 2.5yo girl, as well as her 16yo adopted daughter. This caregiver would love for someone to come alongside her family and do life with them: hang out, play games, bring over meals to eat together, and spend quality time with one another. They would also benefit from care packages!

Family #33: Located in Dallas
Since opening their home in 2013, this family has provided much love and support to the youth in their home. Two caregivers from Maryland, they are hoping to build community around their children, especially their two adopted daughters (10 and 12 y/o), a 4 month old child in care, and their biological 20 y/o son staying with them as he attends the University of West Georgia! They also have a very close relationship with a child that was previously in their home and has since been adopted, and he is 7 years old. They are looking to build community, provide a positive role model for the girls, and someone to join the family on fun outings!

Family #35: Located in Ball Ground

This family has 6 kiddos in the home: a mix of bio, adoptive, and children in care, ages 2-16. The older kids in the home love that they are a foster family, and wrap around every child in their home; but this family could definitely use some support! The kids could use one on one attention, care packages, and just some love!!

Family #36: Located in Morningside
This kinship family has three kids in the home: 5 y/o, 14 y/o, and 17 y/o. They are being raised by their 22 y/o sister, and she is doing everything she can to help these kids to thrive! They could use tangible support through care packages, as well as babysitting, someone to come alongside them and be an extra set of hands, and someone to really bond with the family.

Family #37: Located in Powder Springs
This kinship caregiver is caring for his niece (15 y/o). They are mostly interested in mentorship for the youth but can use help with groceries and meals from time to time. Being a single caregiver, this father wants a mentor that his niece can confide in as she goes through her teen years.

Family #38: Located in Douglasville
This single caregiver has four children in care in her home, all siblings between the ages of 9 m/o to 7 y/o. Although she’s won Foster Parent of the Year (twice!!) with her agency, she could really use some support. Fostering alone, especially when you don’t have any community around you, is extremely difficult. These kiddos have other siblings in care placed at another foster home, and they are already matched in our Love Box program so we would love the opportunity to wrap community around both of these families so that all of these siblings have the love, connection, and support they need. She would love emotional support, someone that shows up for the kiddos, babysitting, and help with care packages.

Family #40: Located in Acworth
This big family is a kinship adoptive placement for her 3 grandkids from Texas. She and her husband has fought for these kiddos to be placed in her home for 3 years and she is still fighting to be united with their 4 y/o twin siblings, also from Texas. She has an 18 y/o biological son and an adult brother in the home also under her care. She has limited mobility and would love an extra set of hands to help around the house and an extra set of eyes to watch the kiddos while she is running errands.

Family #41: Located in Conyers
Foster mama and her bio daughter are both caregivers. They have been fostering for over 20 years and currently have a young sibling set of 2 in their home - 11 y/o and 8 y/o. Both girls struggle with big feelings as they recently entered care. However, they both love art, food, and being active. For the whole family, someone who can match the little kiddos’ energies and provide emotional support would be amazing as well as babysitting, meals, and tutoring especially for the little one as she struggles with reading. One thing to keep in mind is that the foster mama is a vegetarian transitioning to becoming vegan!

Family #43: Located in Decatur
This caregiver has been happily married for 16 yrs and has 3 biological children- ages 11, 10, and 8. The family as a whole fell in love with fostering and has now opened their door as an adoptive placement for a 6 y/o boy! Because they are a big family, activities, meals, and babysitting can get very costly. Someone who can bring in fresh new engaging activities/community events and support in babysitting would be amazing – especially for date nights!

Family #44: Located in Dallas
This single foster mama is a middle school special ed science teacher who has been fostering for 16 years. She has 4 kids in a sibling set of 8 in her home (12 y/o, 11 y/o, 7y/o, 1 y/o) for about 2 years, and they have great bonds with this caregiver. The caregiver’s elderly mother also lives with her. Both she and her kiddos need lots of emotional support because they are about to experience a major transition related to the kiddos’ case plan. Someone who can wrap around the family with lots of love, understanding, and emotional validation would be amazing!
