Youth #6: 18 y/o male This youth is finishing his senior year in high school! He would love to be matched with someone easy to talk to that could help him out with his classes - his least favorite subject is math. Youth #7: 15 y/o male This youth was recently adopted by his foster parents. He is focused on doing well in school so that he can be independent when he grows up. If being a professional basketball player doesn't work out, he just wants to find a stable place to live. He doesn't love crowds! Youth #8: 14 y/o male This youth is 14 and his favorite pastime is sleeping! He starts 9th grade next year and is very excited about starting high school. He'd love a mentor who doesn't talk too much. Youth #10: 12 y/o male This youth would one day like to be a teacher or in the NBA (or both!). He'd love to join a local basketball team and would particularly like being matched with someone who works in education. Youth #22: 17 y/o male This youth is 17 y/o and loves gaming. He’d like to go into game design when he grows up. He would love a mentor who won’t sugarcoat the truth and will actually show up. Youth #102: 13 y/o male This youth is a 13 y/o youth with a fun and sweet personality. She has been in foster care for 3 years and is originally from Florida. She is very family-oriented but is not able to visit her siblings at this time. She loves singing, dancing, video games, and texting. She would benefit from a mentor who is fun-loving, down to go to places like Six Flags, and an open communicator. ELLENWOOD Youth #80: *Waitlist description to come* HAMPTON Youth #67: 15 y/o female This youth is 15 y/o and she has a chill personality and a huge sweet tooth! She enjoys mint chocolate chip ice cream as well as cheesecake, pecan pie, and gummy bears. She enjoys going to the park, playing basketball with neighborhood friends and occasionally volleyball as well; BUT her most favorite activity is riding roller coasters! She is looking for a black mentor “who can vibe” and take her out to explore new things and just hang out. Youth #95: *Waitlist description to come* MCDONOUGH Youth #87: 10 y/o male This 10 y/o youth has a high energy personality and strong opinions. He loves plants (especially carnivorous plants) and animals and likes to go outside to discover and observe new critters! He loves to do anything physically active, arcade games, and shopping. What he's looking for in a mentor is someone who is chill, kind, and wants to hang out and do fun things with him! Someone who is open-minded, not easily offended, and can confidently model patience and active listening for the youth would be the best match. Youth #92: *Waitlist description to come* |
