Our recent partnership with Seint Makeup is a shining example of what’s possible when we work together. During their annual convention in Atlanta, Seint Makeup chose us as their giveback partner, launching an Atlanta Angels Foster Care Collection with 100% of proceeds going to support our programs. They also created “Boo Boxes” for our kids and held an amazing “Over the Rainbow” themed dinner, where we received a check for $199,243!
This generous donation will go a long way in helping us continue to provide love and support to children and families experiencing foster care. We can't thank them enough for believing in our mission and helping to further support our programs.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us at 42 West for an unforgettable night of celebration. With a sparkling champagne wall, live music, dancing, cocktails, dinner, and a live auction, the evening was filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering support for Atlanta's foster care community. It was truly a night where our community came together in their 70’s glam attire to empower children, youth, and families experiencing foster care. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise a grand total of $105,000 - helping us support 175 kids in our programs! One of the most powerful moments of the evening was the inspiring speech given by Rikesha Marshall. She shared her personal journey as a foster parent and highlighted the transformative support she received from Atlanta Angels. If you missed it or would like to revisit it, you can watch her full speech here! We are incredibly grateful for the support of our sponsors: Locum Tenens, ARCO, Pulte Group, Renasant Bank, Hall Boys, Purpose Driven Real Estate Group, Amerigroup, Southern Butcher, and Making Here Home. We would also like to thank all our dedicated volunteers and everyone who attended, donated, or helped spread the word about our mission. Every contribution—whether through donations, participation in our live auction, or the purchasing of a Golden Ticket —made a difference. We couldn’t be more excited to share that Chad, one of our incredible Dare to Dream mentors, has received the Mentor of Distinction Award from MENTOR Georgia after being nominated by our own Case Manager, Olivia! This honor shines a spotlight on the amazing work Chad has done with us over the past 2.5 years—making him our longest-serving mentor at Atlanta Angels. MENTOR Georgia is part of a larger network dedicated to strengthening mentoring across the state. Their mission is to connect Georgia’s youth with caring adults who can make a real difference in their lives. Chad is a perfect example of how powerful these connections can be. Since day one, Chad has been all-in for his mentee, building a relationship rooted in trust and consistency. He’s been more than just a mentor—he’s been a true role model, showing resilience, kindness, and the importance of giving back. And the impact is huge. Research shows that foster youth with mentors like Chad are more likely to succeed in school, build strong social networks, and smoothly transition into adulthood. Chad often shares how thankful he is for the opportunity to make an impact with Atlanta Angels. Being recognized by MENTOR Georgia is a meaningful affirmation of his dedication. As we celebrate Chad’s big win, we’re reminded of just how vital mentorship is. Our Dare to Dream program continues to connect foster youth with caring adults, and Chad’s journey is a powerful reminder of the difference one person can make. We’re so proud to have him as part of the Atlanta Angels family. Please join us in congratulating Chad on this well-deserved award! We’re incredibly grateful for all he’s done and can’t wait to see how he will continue to impact our mission! On Saturday, July 27th, Atlanta Angels hosted our annual Back-to-School Bash at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, and it was an overwhelming success filled with fun, food, and activities for families, children, and youth experiencing foster care. We are thrilled to share a recap of this fantastic event and express our gratitude to everyone who made it possible! We reached out to our community for support through our back-to-school wish list and the response was overwhelming, with many generous donations pouring in, including school supplies, new clothes, gift cards, and more! This 13-year-old youth had been waiting for a mentor for over a year! Her caregiver mentioned that she experiences bullying at school and is isolated socially. The mentor remembers that feeling of isolation and hopes to bring friendship and adventure throughout their mentor/mentee relationship. The youth has an interest in baseball, soccer & basketball. The mentor is a sports fan and can talk your ear off about almost all sports. I’m confident that the mentor will be an intentional supporter, bringing encouragement and fun to the activities they do. It sounds simple, but we believe this mentor/mentee relationship has the potential to bring so much more to this foster family beyond supporting Sarah to chase her dreams. Daniel was adopted at birth, and as an adult, he and his wife adopted their two children. Daniel is compassionate to the difficulties that youth in foster care endure, and the importance of having a support system, or even, just one person you feel has your back. Daniel thought he could be that person for a youth in foster care. He connected with Atlanta Angels to volunteer in the Dare to Dream mentorship program. Daniel was matched with twelve-year-old Evan*, who has been in foster care almost his entire life, with his longest placement only a year-and-a-half. When Daniel came into Evan’s life, there was a clear need for coaching, communication, positivity, and fun. Daniel has supported Evan through difficult situations, and is described as seeming like the only person in-tune with what Evan is feeling. This bond developed through the simplest of interactions – going to the gym or grabbing food and talking. Daniel has met Evan’s needs by simply being there for him, covering the basics (like getting ice cream!), and listening without judgment. And, it's his showing up over-and-over again that has made a lasting difference. After six months of being in the Dare to Dream program, Evan told Daniel he loves him. As their one year commitment in the program approached, Daniel made sure Evan understood he’s here for him and not going anywhere. For a child who had so many people in and out of his life, this gift of commitment and unconditional support is invaluable. *Names have been changed for privacy purposes.* Over the course of ten months our Executive Director, Christie, participated in the @chickfila Impact Accelerator cohort program with @plywoodpeople. Just last month, some of our team was able to attend the Stories of Impact graduation ceremony where our Executive Director Christie was chosen to pitch Atlanta Angels' 5-year vision to open a second site and support 500 children per month! Chick-fil-A also recognized Christie's graduation from the program and awarded Atlanta Angels $10,000! We can't thank them enough for believing in our mission and helping to further support our programs during #NationalFosterCareMonth! Join us in congratulating Christie!
