Our Board of Directors is made up of dedicated volunteers who give of their time, skills, and expertise. The board is responsible for governance, advancing the mission of the organization, fundraising, strategic planning and budgeting, and more!
Note: We strongly recommend that potential board members have been involved with Atlanta Angels for at least six months to a year before joining the board. If you're interested in getting involved, see committee opportunities below, or reach out to Christie Simons, Executive Director ([email protected]) or Jared Dent, Board President ([email protected]).
Another great way to be involved is by volunteering on a committee! Committees meet anywhere from once a month to weekly with a specific focus area. Open committees are below. If you're interested in joining a committee, please complete this interest form!
Signature Events Committee Will plan and execute signature annual fundraising events (golf tournament + gala). Next event is the gala (September 15) and you can see all of the opportunities for getting involved here!
Program Initiatives Committee Will plan and execute three annual special events for foster families (spring/summer event, back to school bash, and holiday event).
Development Committee Purpose is to help find businesses and individuals that will make donations, become monthly supporters, and help find creative ways for businesses/churches/etc. to more effectively help support the foster care community. **Looking for Angel Ambassadors to join the Development Committee who will be trained to attend events, table, and present on behalf of Atlanta Angels!
Finance Committee
Purpose is to to oversee the organization’s financial health by reviewing budgets, monitoring financial performance, ensuring strong internal controls, and supporting the board in making informed fiscal decisions.
