Youth #7: Located in Stockbridge
This youth is 15 and is getting ready to finalize his adoption with his foster parents. He is focused on doing well in school so that he can be independent when he grows up. If being a professional basketball player doesn't work out, he just wants to find a stable place to live. He doesn't love crowds!

Youth #8: Located in Stockbridge
This youth is 14 and his favorite pastime is sleeping! He starts 9th grade next year and is very excited about starting high school. He'd love a mentor who doesn't talk too much.

Youth #9: Located in Stockbridge
This youth is 14 and was adopted last year by his foster dad. He loves chatting, so he'd like a mentor he can talk a lot to. One day he'd like to join the military, but for now he's content playing every type of game, including basketball and Roblox. He identifies as a homebody.

Youth #10: Located in Stockbridge
This youth is 12 years old and would one day like to be a teacher or in the NBA (or both!). He'd love to join a local basketball team and would particularly like being matched with someone who works in education.

Youth #11: Located in Canton
This youth is almost 11 and loves to draw. He is very into Tai Kwon Doe and enjoys collecting different things. He’d love to be matched with a male mentor who is fun and easy to talk to, and maybe someone he could take drawing classes with!

Youth #14: Located in Marietta
This youth is 13 and LOVES football. He would love to be matched with a male mentor who would be down to be active with him and get outside together. He would also like to explore the community and try new restaurants. He would like to be a football player when he grows up.

Youth #15: Located in Lithonia

This youth is 13 y/o and is a big basketball fan, with the Golden State Warriors being his favorite. His main goals are to get good grades and get on the basketball team. He would love a male mentor who likes sports (especially basketball), is a good communicator, and could act as a big brother to him.

Youth #17: Located in Canton

Youth #21: Located in Canton
This youth is 19 y/o and graduates this May! She loves to sleep and make jokes. She is interested in going to school for criminal justice or nursing. She’d like a mentor who she can trust and who can commit to meeting more frequently than twice a month.

Youth #22: Located in Stockbridge
This youth is almost 17 y/o and loves gaming. He’d like to go into game design when he grows up. He would love a mentor who won’t sugarcoat the truth and will actually show up!

Youth #24: Located in Marietta
This youth is 20 years old and is working on developing his social skills! He absolutely loves watching movies like Indiana Jones. He would love a male mentor who will be understanding of his shyness and won’t dominate the conversation. While still in high school, he volunteers at his local Chick-Fil-A every week.

Youth #25: Located in Woodstock
This youth is 16 y/o and would love a mentor who is talkative and has good energy! When she grows up she wants to be a mortician. Right now she’s working hard to pass all her classes and increase visitations with her 1 y/o daughter, who is also in care.

Youth #26: Located in Stone Mountain
This youth is 16 y/o and is working on learning English! She has a 2 y/o son who lives with her in a group home. She loves horror movies and would like to join the soccer team.  She is interested in being matched with a mentor who can help her learn English and can help her get a job!

Youth #27: Located in Stone Mountain
This youth is 15 y/o and is expecting a baby this January! She is excited to be a great mother to him and would like a mentor who can relate to having a baby at a young age. She is a confident kid interested in being a nurse when she grows up.

Youth #29: Located in Covington
This youth is 15 y/o and enjoys playing any kinds of games – especially board games – and soccer. One of his goals is to be more active and work-out, so he would like a mentor who can do that with him but also who likes to chill and eat good food.

Youth #30: Located in Canton
This youth is 17 y/o and is graduated in December! She is a go-getter and knows exactly what she wants and makes plans/goals to get there. She is a thrill-seeker and loves anything that will get her adrenaline pumping such as roller coasters, bungee jumping, and skydiving. The two main things she wants in a mentor is someone who is critical, honest with no sugar-coating to help her kickstart her entrepreneurial career, and someone with experience in the foster care system or with similar family trauma to relate to.

Youth #31: Located in Canton
This youth is 15 y/o and is an aspiring actress! She loves drama and wants to pursue a career in acting in the romance genre. She also loves to listen to all kinds of music and paint. Humor is important to this youth in a mentor; she would like someone who likes to chat and can share her dark humor.

Youth #32: Located in Canton
This youth is 15 y/o and loves to read anything and eat sushi! After graduation, she wants to pursue cosmetology/hairdressing. She mainly wants emotional support from her mentor and wants someone who is a good listener, compassionate, and empathetic. Additionally, she would love for her mentor to take her out to explore and do fun things!

Youth #33: Located in Canton
This youth is 17 y/o and the military is very important to her. She feels strongly that joining the National Guard after graduation will prove her strength and resilience. She also likes going to museums, volunteering, and eating fried chicken. She wants a mentor with a military background who is not only fun and spontaneous but also someone who can be her confidant.

Youth #36: Located in Buford
This 15 y/o youth is super chill, open and very self-reflective. He loves to stay active and play baseball/football. He has many career goals- a famous professional baseball or football player, chef, or join the air force. He wants a young mentor who he can have good, deep conversations with and chill.

Youth #38: Located in Covington
This 13 y/o wants to become either a professional basketball player or a clothing designer when he grows up. He wants a mentor who is very chill and likes to play basketball with him. Unfortunately, he missed basketball tryouts at school, but he wants to get more involved in sports clubs year-round!

Youth #39: Located in Conyers
This 10 y/o is a bright and playful young lady who loves to watch her shows on Netflix and play action-filled, role playing games like “Spiderman” which she and her friends at school created! She loves sports as well; one of her goals is to get better at playing baseball and hit a homerun. She would like a mentor who is as bubbly and talkative as she is and likes to play baseball, play games, and sing with her.

Youth #40: Located in Alpharetta
This 20 y/o youth is from Guatemala, and he is a senior in high school. He has 2 major transitions coming up this year- graduation and aging out. While he has good support from his foster mom and her family, he has lots of anxiety about his future, especially college and career. Because of his circumstances, he had to mature at an early age so he feels like he doesn’t fit in with his peers. He is looking for a mentor who can relate to his experiences and can be that person he can confide in and become his best friend.

Youth #41: Located in Canton
This youth is 19 y/o and recently left foster care! She’s fiercely protective of her younger siblings and absolutely loves music - she is self-taught! She would love a mentor who will be understanding of her varying identities, including identifying as LGBT and being Mormon, and who can help her stay on track with her goals and also give her an opportunity to be a kid.

Youth #42: Located in Gainesville
This youth is 16 and has been in care for less than a year! He would love to be a rapper or football player when he grows up and is a particularly big fan of all Detroit teams. He wants a mentor who can “help him have the childhood he never had” with activities like trampoline parks and arcades. This youth is currently in the Department of Juvenile Justice in Hall County and will likely be there for the next year. His mentor will need to visit him while he’s in custody and be open to meeting him where he is on his journey!
