Our Dare to Dream® program relies on the passion and commitment of our trained mentors. The fee allows us to set you and your Dare to Dream mentee up for success, safety, and a deeply meaningful experience. It covers the following:

Dare to Dream® Mentor Onboarding Journey
Questions at any point?
Time commitment: Your onboarding journey is expected to take approximately six hours, spread over the course of two to six weeks, primarily depending on your preferred pace and availability.
Phase 1: Complete your Volunteer Application (1.5 hours)
Phase 2: Screening and Due Diligence (< 2 hours)
At the link below, you'll upload your references, driver's license, and insurance and sign your
confidentiality + liability waiver.
After that information is completed, you'll receive an email with instructions on completing your background check (through Sterling Volunteers) and fingerprinting.
You're making great progress! Now you're ready for training + approval!
Phase 5: Get matched with a youth!
Review potential matches on a matching call (10 - 20 min) - once you are approved, our team will begin identifying potential matches based on location, availability, and fit. We will talk through options together before confirming a match. Once confirmed, you'll be assigned a Program Coordinator, who will support your match and walk you through the next steps!
